Hey Gang,
Last week was one to remember. Chuck Prophet & the Mission Express rolled into the West Midlands as their 'Panic in the Temple Tour' gathered pace through England. Nottingham was my first stop to see them @ The Rescue Rooms on April 28th. Chuck has played here before and always received a warm welcome and this night was no exception. Among the packed venue familiar faces were clearly evident including some off this very Forum! It just shows goes to show that when Chuck rolls into town his fans come out to witness his guitar playing prowess once again and whatever fine record he's promoting this time around.
It was then onward's to Birmingham 2 days later to 'The Hare & Hounds' in Kings Heath. Chuck hasn't played here at my neck of the woods for the past 17 years later so understandably I for one was more than pleased at his return. However jaws dropped throughout the packed venue when around 3 mins in to their first song it came to an abrupt end due to a problem with Chuck's amp; as in there was zilcho sound coming from it. Thankfully Chuck's tech guy came up on stage and after a couple of minutes found the source of the problem. A loose connection in Chuck's EFX pedal rack seemed to be the cause of the problem from where I was standing and it was quickly rectified and all was good. Whew!

Chuck and the Express then rocked through in fine style pretty much the duplicate set of Notts apart from the inclusion of a fantastic version of 'Homemade Blood'.
Chuck really seemed to be enjoying himself throughout the whole night and it was during their customary end of set crowd pleaser 'You Did' that Chuck asked me to join him and the Express on stage.Well as you can imagine I wasted no time walking up but I remember thinking maybe I'd had one two many celebratory drinks earlier on following meeting him in person earlier on!

A totally cool guy in person he really is.......if I'm honest I was a little nervous about meeting him in person. Some one told me once, it may not be a swell idea approaching your favorite musical artist if you get the chance as you may be disappointed. Well for me personally, I'm glad I approached him and I was left far from disappointed.

A great night to remember! If you ever read this Chuck? I really appreciate the call up on stage dude! Twas a  great to experience to share the stage with you guys!
