Well the winner of record label 'Yep Roc's' 15 minutes of fame competition has been announced.  I came 4th out of the 50+ entries with my cover of Chuck's 'Emperor Norton'. Unfortunately it was only the top 3 who made it into the final.  Am I going to share with you the link to who eventually won? Nope, in my view it was one of the worst entries!...real crap de crap! ...if all their 'likes' on that video were genuine I'll eat my hat and every hat that attended this years 'Ladies Day' at Royal Ascott ...;)

Onwards.....:)

Its been a mixed year in England so far. On the negative side Its been doom and gloom in the Employment sector, petrol prices suck to an even greater extent and English football fails at yet another penalty shootout! However on the positive side the Olympics came and went without anyone getting blown up, Prince William will get some fine oats sewn with Kate Middleton and of course 'Gasfoodlodging' the band was conceived. Yeah, I've got a sense of humour! you need one!

'Gasfoodlodging' aren't just a cover's band; we'll also be focusing on original material as well. There is a whole host of good music in the world that never gets the airplay and recognition it deserves due to the great Media Machine dictating to us what is cool and what is not cool. Do we think we're a cool band? Sure we do, but not in an egotistical way. We just enjoy what we do.

NEWS UPDATE...My entry to the current YR15MINUTES of fame is currently at 3rd place at last checking. Thanks to promotional activity on forums and musical friends etc. Its the top 3 videos that make it through to the final where the winner will be subsequently chosen..If you haven't voted already and you read this before the closing date of 15th September, cast a vote my way if you would.
